Trauma lives in our body as well as our mind and can often leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, stuck in survival mode, unable to relax, feel safe or fully enjoy our lives.
I believe there are many ways to understand human psychology and wellbeing. My practice gently integrates talking therapy with somatic, creative and holistic approaches which support the nervous system, such as breath, creativity, movement and mindfulness
Alongside my private practice, I have worked in the voluntary sector for over twenty years, supporting individuals who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.
I have a BA in Counselling and I am coming to the end of an MA in Psychotherapy Studies, with a focus on working wildly and creatively. I'm also qualified in somatic therapy and breath work facilitation.
I am a neuroaffirming therapist and have additional training in working with neurodivergent clients. My practice is inclusive and non-pathologising and I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
I am also a qualified clinical supervisor, offering integrative and creative supervision for therapists and practitioners.
I am a registered member of the BACP. and hold professional insurance, a clear DBS and am registered with the ICO.
